Show Off Your Style with Satinique Hair Care
By John Gillespie
What are your favorite SATINIQUE® styling products?
They're all good in their own way, but I do have several favorites.
Piece Out Styling Stik is perfect for all kinds of stylish looks. You can spike your hair up or smooth stray hairs with just a twist of the swivel-up stick. This defining pomade can give tousled layers a lift and keep piece-y ends in place for fantastic results.
Brilliant Hair Polish gives hair a brilliant shine while sealing your strands to reduce frizz. Remember, just a small amount is needed for styling to add a soft texture to define and stop static.
Volumising Mousse achieves fantastic styling results. To create a style that’s good for your hair, try the following special blend at home: Mix four parts Volumising Mousse and one part Brilliant Hair Polish in the palm of your hand, then work through hair with your fingers.
This technique allows so much versatility: You can shape the surface of your hair to create beautiful, soft waves, or you can smooth it over your hair to straighten it and give it gorgeous shine.
I love the trendy new hairstyles. How can I achieve them at home?
First, you have to understand my philosophy about styling. Beautiful, professional styling should be accomplished in two steps:
- First, the “foundation styling” for lift, body, and volume.
- Then, the “finishing styling” to hold hair in place and add luster.
Here’s a foolproof way to get the style you want.
- Start with mousse, gel, or spray. Work on damp hair at the roots, gently lifting the hair away from the scalp as you work the product into the hair shafts. Then style hair as you like.
- Finish with Finishing Spray, Piece Out Styling Stik, Brilliant Hair Polish, or Smooth Moves Shaping Crème. They’ll help hold your style while adding a lovely shine.
